Where does the leak come from?
The information about the existence of the NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti comes from the hand of the Japanese medium PC Mania, who have discovered a series of configuration files in the FireStorm application data where there would be indications of an NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti, which is the overclocking utility from the graphics card manufacturer ZOTAC.
This means that NVIDIA would have in the chamber the launch of a new graphics card, which would be its most powerful GPU to date. The launch of an RTX 3090 Ti should come as no surprise since the The GA102 chip is the only chip in the NVIDIA RTX 30 that does not have a version that makes use of the full configuration with all SMs.
So we would be talking about an 84 SM configuration and not an 82 SM as with the RTX 3090 that was launched a few months ago on the market.

Capped for mining?
If the NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti exists then the big question is whether it will be a graphics card of the Lite Hash Rate type and therefore capable of mining. Let’s not forget that the GDDR6X used in the RTX 3090 has the GDDR6X with the highest bandwidth, which is crucial for mining Ethereum. At certain power levels mining rates are obtained that even with the ability to mine cut through various methods the card could be highly profitable and turn this eventual GPU into a candy for miners.
