NEC launches four new short throw projectors

Who wouldn’t like to watch movies or play games on a projector? Now NEC Display Solutions has announced the launch of four new ultra-short throw LCD projectors within its UM Series, with wall installation and without the need to have absurdly long rooms with a false ceiling to install it. It’s about the new UM301W, UM301X, UM351W and UM361X, which offer significant improvements in terms of performance and cost of ownership compared to ‘traditional’ projectors.

With their diagonal downward projection (i.e. the projector is mounted on the wall just above the projection screen) these new NEC projectors eliminate shadows and glare while delivering brighter, more dynamic images with up to 3,600 lumens of brightness. They integrate a 20W RMS speaker and two HDMI inputs, one of them with MHL support that allows the connection of mobile devices. In addition, these new models have a table of projection capacities, which allows them to be used to work on interactive tables or whiteboards (all four models include an interactive multi-pen, and the WXGA models have touch support).

On the other hand, they have a self-calibration function, so it is not necessary to carry out this process manually. These four projector models are already available at the prices you see below:

  • UM301W: € 1,128.
  • UM301X: € 1,128.
  • UM351W: € 1,451.
  • UM361X: € 1,209.
