NBA 2K21 is the latest installment in the famous NBA 2K basketball game saga. This title, released in September 2020, has numerous improvements in terms of gameplay and graphics, as well as multiplayer functions, offering the best gaming experience of all the titles in this series to date.
How to get NBA 2K21 for free
As we have already mentioned, the game is now free to download in the Epic Games Store, and as usual once you claim your free copy it will be added to your library and it will be yours forever without paying anything, something that is very thank considering that the price of this game is usually 59.99 euros. To claim it, you will only have to access your Epic Games account or to the Epic Launcher installed on your PC and you will see that in the Store, the game appears among the free ones (in this case only until May 27 at 5:00 p.m. Spanish time).
Simply click on the game (or access through the web at the link that we have put above) and you will enter the game page itself, where you will see that the option to obtain it at zero price appears.
Then you will have to follow the “purchase” process as if you were buying any other game, but since the price is zero euros you will not have to pay absolutely anything and it will be automatically added to your library of games on the platform so that you can download it and play it whenever you want.
Minimum and recommended PC requirements
NBA 2K21 is a relatively new title that was released at the end of 2020, and it also has improved graphics that in some cases become quite realistic. However, the title is quite optimized and as we will see below the requirements are not too high, although we also tell you that for some reason the hardware recommended by the developer is not enough to run the game at full capacity at 4K resolution, but only at Full HD resolution (for this reason, we add a third column to the table with our recommendation in this regard).
|Minimum requirements (1080p @ 30 FPS)||Recommended Requirements (1080p @ 60 FPS)||Maximum requirements (4K @ 60 FPS)|
|Processor||Intel Core i3-530
|Intel Core i5-4430
|Intel Core i7-8700
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
|RAM||4GB||8 GB||16 GB|
|Graphic card||GeForce GT450 1GB
Radeon HD 7770 1GB
|GeForce GTX 770
Radeon R9 270
|GeForce RTX 2060
Radeon RX 5700
|Storage||80 GB||80 GB||120 GB|
|Operating system||Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 64 bit||Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 64 bit||Windows 10 64 bit|
First of all we warn you that in the technical requirements expressed by the developer there is a very important error, and that is that they recommend 80 GB of storage when only downloading the game occupies almost 100 GB, which is why in the third column we have put 120 GB. Also, given the size of the game and the time it takes for the loading screens, we strongly recommend using an SSD.
Leaving this aside, as you can see, the title is not demanding in terms of PC hardware, and in fact if you have a 1080p monitor it would be worth it with a gaming PC from many years ago without any problem. The biggest requirement, as we have said before, is storage in this case because it is a game that takes up a lot of space and with long loading screens, neither more nor less.
